Our next Court-Appointed Arbitrator Training is scheduled for: 1PM – 5:15PM, Friday, December 6, 2024, and will be held ONLINE via live, interactive ZOOM Meeting. The cost is $399.
Training Summary
This 4-hour Florida Supreme Court Approved Court-Appointed Arbitrator Training program (1:00 PM – 5:15 PM on the day of the training) combines lecture and discussion to promote comprehensive understanding and skills development for the arbitrator appointed to arbitrate a county or circuit court action under Chapter 44, Florida Statutes. Subjects Covered:
- Differences between: Mediation and Arbitration; Mandatory/Nonbinding and Voluntary/Binding Arbitration; and “Court-Connected” and other types of Arbitration
- As well as: Relevant Florida Statutes and Procedural Rules; Arbitrator Ethics; Arbitration Award Drafting; Attorney’s Fees Issues in Arbitration; Practice and Business of Arbitration
The "Fine Print"
Trainee cancellations more than two weeks prior to the class start date will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee, unless applied towards tuition for the next subsequent training; trainee cancellations on less notice (including, without limitation, failure to attend class) will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee; requests for waiver of the cancellation fee due to emergency will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Attendance substitutions are permitted up to one day prior to the start date of the session. Enrollment is limited to 40 participants per course. Less than minimum enrollment may lead to postponement; registration fees previously collected will be applied towards the next training offered or a refund will be granted without penalty.
